Keep your parameters safe with drive composer

Getting your drives configured just right can take time and effort, and there’s always a risk of something happening. The last thing you want is to be caught with a new drive that has to be fully reprogrammed… Fortunately there are easy ways around that.

The Drive Composer software, available from ABB, allows for easy extraction and storing of parameter sets from ABB drives.


QUICK 4-STEP GUIDE…

STEP 1.

• Prepare to connect

To connect to the drive, you have the option of using a Type C to type Mini B USB cable, or simply over Ethernet if the drive is on your local network.

STEP 2.

• Connect to the drive
  When you launch drive composer you will see the below screen. To connect to the drive simply select “Connect”

STEP 3.

• Access the Parameters list

Once you have connected to the drive you will have a list of drives that are available to access. Select the arrow next to one of the drives to access the parameters list. This will load the list of parameters from the drive. From here you can also edit the parameters.

STEP 4.

• Save!
  Select ‘Save workspace’ from the file menu as shown below.
